Tips to Handle the Awkward Re-Growth Phase

Hi Dolls, So here is a special blog post that the beautiful Abby at Hair Care social media has written up for me and my blog!

Growing out hair entails a lot of patience and dealing with that dreaded “awkward phase”. The trickiest part about this stage in hair re-growth is that you sometimes do not know what to do with your hair. Do you put it up or let it down? How do you get it out of the way? These are questions that you might have asked yourself plenty of times. Don’t despair – you can find some simple suggestions to transform your growing out phase from awkward to chic.

Pull it Back

Jennifer Lawrence appears to be the model for a lot of women out there who have trouble with the awkward re-growth. She made it seem so effortlessly chic! Hence, you can take cues from her trick on pulling hair back (like the Oscars 2014 red carpet look) for a sleek and edgy look.

Pulling hair back also helps to frame the face so it draws more attention to your facial features rather than your hair. You can also create a wide range of hairstyles by adding in hair extensions. These products are excellent for adding instant volume or length to your hair – so make good use of them!

Twists or Braids

Twisting your short hair back or braiding it is another creative technique to deal with the growing-out phase. This is especially useful on women who have bangs and are over them. By sectioning your hair into individual twists or braids, you can get hair off of your face and also have an unlimited array of styling options.

Get a New Colour

You can make growing out hair fun and experimental by trying out a new colour. Since you are still transitioning to your desired length, this is also a good time to try out new hair colour or highlight. Feel free to experiment at your own comfort level, though. Who knows you might even discover a colour that works for you!

Tame Your Layers

If you have gotten layers and they start to grow, they could be pretty difficult to handle. But here’s a nice trick to deal with this problem  you can try putting it in half updos. Short hair chignon is getting more and more popular because it is easy to do and brings about simple sophistication to your look. You can even try for a bit of a messy look to make it seem more casual.

Trim it!

There is an ongoing debate as to whether or not trimming as you are growing out hair is a good idea. First off, trimming is a must if you have split ends. That way, you can get rid of the unhealthy ends so you can encourage healthy new hair growth. But if you do not have split ends, it is best to do away with it. Trimming, however, takes on another importance – it helps to maintain the shape of your cut. When hair grows back, it can take on a new shape and might look a bit chopped. Trimming ensures that you can keep hair well shaped and not awkward-looking.

How do you deal with the awkward re-growth phase of your hair?

Hi Dolls,
Today I have a review for you guys! and it's on the Glamglow SUPERMUD clearing treatment mask!
I have seen this mask going around for ages, I have seen so many reviews and demos! and I really wanted to try it out for myself! So I brought the deluxe sample size to test out before buying the bigger size, to see if my skin liked or not, or if it actually works! So I took photos of each stage of the mask to share with yous my thought my experience with the glamglow mask!
It has a bunch of good ingridentents in the mask to help with acne and breakout to clean and clear you skin
  • Glycolic Acid - Helps Restore Photo Damaged Skin & Improves Skin Texture.
  • Salicylic Acid - Helps De-clog to Minimize Pores & New Skin Rejuvenation.

So does that doesn't excited you and make you want to just lather your skin in such amazing-ness!

So this is what the mask looks like its a charcoal colour and very thin and liquid like, easy to spread and a very minty fresh scent!

So this is what it looked like straight after I put it on! Apply a Thin Layer to Clean Skin. Leave on for 5 - 20 minutes & Remove with Water. Use as a Full Face Mask or Spot Treatment as often as needed.
As soon as it started to dry, I started to see all these little black dots! don't freak out I freaked out and I searched it! That is all the dirt and oil being sucked out of your pores and out of your skin! I saw this mainly in my T-zone! And It dry's instantly and isn't an uncomfortable feeling  either it feel really nice!

Here is a close up of the mask on my skin! and you can see all the little black dots!

The longer the mask wan on the more I noticed the back dots appearing I was feeling a great relief that all that horrible stuff was being sucked out of my skin!

So I left the mask on for 20 minutes and this was just before
I washed it off! it was starting to flake and those little black dots my forehead was covered in them!

This was straight after I washed it off, my skin went a bit red, But that normal for me I have sensitive skin and it always goes red after face masks! I noticed a big difference! My pores were smaller and had shrunk some of my red acne scare had gone down in redness! and the blackheads on my nose had GONE! they had disappeared! I was super impressed with this mask! My skin feel so much better ( 2 days after the mask ) so soft! I really want to try them all

After I washed it off, I toned my skin and moisturized using the Biore Triple Action Toner and the Clinque Dramatically different + mouisture!

All over I love the Mask and defiently will be buying a bigger size! I rate it 10/10 !
I recommend it to people who have acne / breakouts!

Much Love, Amber xx
